HISTORY
Rieth Auto Stores has a long history of service to the people of Northeast Ohio and the Cleveland area. We have been able to trace our roots back to at least 1917. Our family became involved with the stores in the 1950's with our father, Bob Curtis, starting as a driver for one of the locations. Always an extremely hard worker, he quickly worked his way into a minority ownership role. In 1968, Bob, Irv Phillips and Harry Marcus bought out the remaining partners and grew the company into one of the largest automotive parts chains in the country through-out 1970's. Our father unexpectedly passed away on December 11, 1980 at the young age of 46.
In 1988 we started with three employees, two delivery trucks, two phone lines, and less that $100,000 in parts inventory. Having out grown our building on Stapley, we moved into a 10,000 square foot facility at 1806 East Main in October of 2003. Today we boast over 35 employees, 15 delivery trucks, 24 phone lines and almost a million dollars in parts inventory.
